Mr. Shannon has been Vice President - Procurement since 2000. He began his employment with Georgia Gulf in 1983 in purchasing, and subsequently moved to product manager of VCM, and then business manager of electrochemicals, before becoming director of business area management.
Prior to joining Georgia Gulf, he worked with both U.S. Steel and Delta Resources. Mr. Shannon received a B.S. and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
