Bill Doherty is Georgia Gulf Corporation's Vice President-Custom Products. His responsibilities include management of Georgia Gulf's plastics compounding business as well as Royal Group's window, door, cellular mouldings/boards, paint/finishing, and technology divisions. He has been with Georgia Gulf since 1982 and prior to that was with General Electric's Plastics Division where he held several marketing and business management assignments.
Bill graduated from Indiana Tech University Magna Cum Laude where he earned a BS degree in Business Administration with a management concentration. His other educational and professional training includes the BS program in Economics at the State Univesity of New York at Buffalo, the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business executive program, and management development programs while at General Electric. Bill has also been a guest lecturer at the Terry School of Business MBA program at the University of Georgia.
