No, Georgia Gulf and Georgia-Pacific are separate corporations. Georgia Gulf Corporation was created through a management-led leveraged buyout of Georgia-Pacific’s commodity chemicals division in 1985.

Georgia Gulf is a leading manufacturer and international marketer of high-quality, low maintenance building and home improvement products under the Royal Group and Exterior Portfolio brands and two integrated chemical product lines, chlorovinyls and aromatics.
Our chemical portfolio includes aromatic chemicals (cumene, phenol, acetone and alpha-Methylstyrene); electrochemicals (chlorine, caustic soda and vinyl chloride monomer); and vinyl resins and compounds (polyvinyl chloride).
